Calendar

Select the calendar by clicking on it. You can define the following in the Properties window:

A calendar comprises several components: the week view (initially set as default), a miniature calendar on the right for selecting the date, and the "Day view", "Week view" and "Month view" tabs.

General tab: CAS genesisWorld calendar

Next to Type, select whether you want the day, week or month view to be shown when the page is opened.

Start time/End time refers to the displayed time slot in the calendar.

Height of calendar is the height of the calendar in pixels. The width is automatically set in proportion to the height. As an administrator, enter the height. Users can also adjust the height of the calendar in the settings as desired.

Display type selection allows users to switch between the "Day", "Week" and "Month" views.

Display date selection displays a miniature month view with which users can select a specific date.

Display appointments/holidays displays appointments and holidays.

With the Display selection option for calendar of other participants option, users can also view the calendar of other users or resources via a drop-down list. If you select the "Show selection option for calendars of other participants" checkbox in the Team tab, you will no longer be able to select this option.

Display appointments/Display holidays defines whether appointments and/or holidays are displayed in the calendar.

Use the Corresponding form button to assign a form or another calendar to the current calendar.

The Team tab

In this tab, you can specify which data records are shown. As a rule, users can only view data records they have been granted access rights to. You can only select combinations that match.

Display selection option for calendars of other participants displays a drop-down list for users above the calendar.

If you select All, the drop-down list will contain all available participants, groups and resources the user has access rights to.

If you select Users, the drop-down list will only contain users.

If you select Resources, you can create a calendar, for example, for booking meeting rooms and company cars.

Display activities of the following participants allows users to create a calendar for a team or a department, containing, for example, all users and resources in a department. Move to the Selected participants list all participants whose appointments are to appear in the calendar. You can create a team calendar even faster if you have already defined the groups in the User management area.

Because this option allows you to select specific participants, once selected you will no longer be able to select the previous option Display selection option for calendars of other participants.

Example

The following options have been selected:
Display activities of current user
Display activities of the following participants: Group Employee Management

A user will then be able to view his or her appointments and those of his or her team at the same time.

Only the following options have been selected
Display selection option for calendars of other participants: Resources

A user will then be able to see a calendar with a drop-down list above it. From this drop-down list the user can select a meeting room, company car, flipchart, and so on, to see when it is available.
