This component contains layouts, elements and the dashboard.

• The layouts for the dashboard differ in the number and width of columns. As the administrator you can define layouts and the contents of each layout. Users can then select one of these layouts in their settings and add elements to the empty areas.

When you edit a layout, first move placeholders to the desired position. Now add mandatory elements to the placeholders. Users can then add elements to the remaining available placeholders.

• An element can be used to display information from CAS genesisWorld or information from external sources such as the weather or news. These elements are in the Really Simple Syndication (RSS) format (or feed), which is an XML-based format used, for example, for sharing news headlines and other Web content. CAS genesisWorld has an RSS Reader that translates the RSS feed into HTML.

In editing mode, add the desired elements to the desired placeholders.

Existing elements cannot be changed, only deleted. You can create new elements.

Users are allowed to create elements for the following data record types: if you share data record types, users can create personal elements with the element for lists.

Users can add these element to the home page using a wizard.

Users will only be able to see the Add new element link if you have released at least one data record type.

Click New > New element. The Create a new element window opens. Depending on the element you want to create, you will be able to specify the title, the link and the size of this element.
