Additional field inserts an input field in a form which is based on a database field. Defaults and inputs to this field are inserted in the notes of the data record each time the data is saved; the data is then also saved in the database.

Each time the data is saved, the system automatically enters the user's name, the date and the time (time stamp).

Linkage field inserts a drop-down list in a form. Users can link the current data record with another data record, for example, with a project that you create in the Properties of this field.

You define the description and the field width in the General tab.

Select a field in the Field tab. This field is displayed in the drop-down list for users to select the data record you want to link.

In the Team tab, you define whether users are allowed to link public data records or also the ones from other users.

In the Filter tab, you define the filter conditions the data records must fulfill in order to be displayed in the list.

Title, Type, Width and Default correspond to the fields you find in a data field.

Example
You can use this field, for example, for requests. If a support request or a service report needs to be checked by a number of colleagues, each colleague can log the results of their check in the notes section.
