Automatic salutation
On the server, you can define gender-specific salutations in a .txt file. You can also include information from address fields as field variables. The following rules then apply:
- If exactly one address with this e-mail address is available for a recipient in CAS genesisWorld, the fields (e.g. First name) or input help options (e.g. title) are found. Then the drop-down list contains
form of addresses that match the gender and the name of the recipient, and
non-gender specific salutations.
- If several addresses are found in CAS genesisWorld, fields, for example, first name or title, cannot be included anymore. Then non-gender specific salutations are displayed.
- Non-gender specific salutations are also displayed if the recipient does not exist as CAS genesisWorld address or if several recipients are entered in the e-mail.
Predefine form of addresses
- As administrator, you predefine automatic forms of address in the EMailAddressLettersDE.txt file.
- You can insert information from address fields as field variables.
If more than one address is found in CAS genesisWorld or more recipients are entered in an e-mail address, fields cannot be precisely filled in and no input help options are found. In this case, only general salutations are offered.
