Security settings

In the Security settings folder, you define requirements for passwords and critical actions.

Select the User management area

Activate password guidelines

Using the Activate password guidelines option, you define the guidelines for user passwords. These guidelines ensure the security of your users' passwords.

This will prevent users from entering passwords that contain repetitions, such as "Aaaaa" or "aBcabcabc".

Enter the password again before exporting

With the Enter the password again before exporting option, you define that users must enter their CAS genesisWorld password again before exporting data. Thus, this setting forces users to re-enter their password even if they have already opened and logged on to CAS genesisWorld.

Executing specific functions forces users to re-enter their passwords, for example, when exporting addresses. Activate the desired options.

In this case, users cannot use the Windows authentication.

Please note

The Enter the password again before exporting option requires that the user executing the respective function have a CAS genesisWorld password and know it.

The administrator defines the CAS genesisWorld password in the user properties.

If you activate the Enter the password again before exporting option, the Allow only Windows authentication option is deactivated in the properties of all users.

The Support integrated Windows authentication option is still available, this enables users to logon to CAS genesisWorld without their user name and password as the system continues to try to log them on automatically using their current Windows user details.

More security settings

The prompt opens for users in the desktop client, CAS genesisWorld Web, and teamWorks after the password of a user has been changed in the Management Console.

This is useful, for example, if you have define the password of a new user account or changed the password of an existing user. Thus, your colleagues receive a notification to create their own password.
