Included fields tab

On the Included fields tab you can define the fields and their weighting in percent that you want to use for the duplicate check.

The duplicate check divides addresses into subsets and then compares each address with all the other in the same subset. The fields included in the addresses of a subset are placed into a character string in the background and then compared with character strings of the other addresses in the other subsets. If a certain match percentage is attained, also known as the threshold value, then the system identifies this as a duplicate. You define the subset fields on the Search options tab.

For each included field, you can define a weighting in percent in the Factor in % field. The value of the weighting in percent determines when the field is included in the threshold value you already defined.

The value in the Factor in % fields is used to determine the relevance of matches found for specific fields when attempting to find duplicates. A high factor means that the field is highly weighted for the threshold value and is thus taken into greater account than a field with a low factor. The maximum factor is 200%, the minimum factor 20%.

If you have added additional fields to the default group of fields that are checked and then clicked Default values. ,then the fields you added will be removed again and no longer included in the duplicate check.
