Installing the add-in

Required user rights depending on the type of installation

To install the CAS genesisWorld Add-In, users require various rights depending on the type of installation.

• Installing CAS genesisWorld with the MSI package

In this case, users do not require any local administrator rights.

• Installing via the ClientInstallation with deactivated user account management

In this case, users require local administration rights

• Installing via the ClientInstallation with active user account management

The add-in will not be installed.

• Installing with the help of the HotfixSetup and Setup.exe

With this type of CAS genesisWorld installation or update, the add-in is installed or updated.

Installing CAS genesisWorld with the InstallShield (setup.exe)

The add-in is installed with the CAS genesisWorld Desktop Client.

You can transfer contacts, appointments and tasks from Microsoft Outlook to CAS genesisWorld, if the following conditions have been met:

• The services must be started in the Server Manager

• Server Manager, Services tab page

• In the add-in settings of Microsoft Outlook, users must enter the URL of the application server, their user name and their password for CAS genesisWorld.

Installing CAS genesisWorld via MSI or installing the add-in via MSI

As the add-in can also be used on computers without CAS genesisWorld, this add-in can also be distributed via a MSI package.

The following Microsoft components have to be installed, before you can set-up the MSI installation for the add-in:

• .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1
• Primary Interop assemblies for Outlook 2010 for Microsoft Outlook 2010

or Primary Interop assemblies for Outlook 2007

• Visual Studio 2010 tools for Office run time for Windows 32-bit or 64-bit operating system.

You can install the add-in separately via the InstallShield (setup.exe).

At least Microsoft Outlook 2010 Service Pack 2 is required if you want to install the add-in without the CAS genesisWorld Desktop Client.
