Setting up the Web Service

To use the one-click archiving function, transfer contacts, tasks and appointments and also transfer invitations from Microsoft Outlook to CAS genesisWorld, you as administrator must configure Web Service. After the configuration, you must transfer the logon data to users.

Logon data for the one-click archiving function and the transfer of data

The first time they use one-click archiving, users will have to enter their CAS genesisWorld logon data into the Microsoft Outlook add-in settings.

Users require the following data for the logon:

• User name, Password and Domain of CAS genesisWorld.
• Server name is the name of the application server for which the Web Service was set up.
• Port is the port of the Web Service.
• Database is the CAS genesisWorld database.
• Users can use Check logon data to check whether they can establish a connection to the CAS genesisWorld database with the connection details they have been given.

The Use Windows logon option is also available in the Microsoft Outlook settings. This is an alternative if the Desktop Client of CAS genesisWorld is not installed for users.

The activation of the Use Windows logon option in Microsoft Outlook can be controlled by you as administrator via group policies.

Settings for archiving

With the One-click archiving function, the default template for the respective user is automatically used to archive e-mails.
