See times in the calendar

The View times in the calendar right, is a level of access right. Using this you can define different settings for viewing a manager's calendar for example.

Example

Executive A, his Secretary B, his Assistant C, Colleague K, and Employee M

Requirement

Executive A does not share full group rights with his Secretary B, his Assistant C, Colleague K or Employee M this, for example, is because the Deactivate access rights because of group membership option is enabled.

Employee M has no external access rights for Executive A. He can neither look at A's calendar, nor fix or change appointments for A.

Colleague K, has been granted the View times in calendar external access right. He can look at A's calendar of appointments and fix appointments with or for A. However, he cannot change existing appointments unless Colleague K is a participant of the appointment with the necessary right.

Assistant C has been granted the Read external access right. He can look at A's calendar of appointments and fix appointments with or for A. However, he cannot change existing appointments unless Assistant C is a participant of the appointment with the necessary rights.

Secretary B has the external access right Full rights. He can look at A's calendar and fix appointments with or for A. He can edit all appointments of Executive A due to the specified right. Appointments marked explicitly as personal by Executive A are also marked personal for Secretary B. For personal appointments Secretary B can only see Personal as subject and the beginning and end time of the appointment.
