Immediate searching in the address book

The LDAP address book is searched as soon as you enter a value into the To, CC or BCC fields.

• For example, enter the letter R.

Now all the addresses are displayed that start with the letter R.

• Now, enter another letter.

Now, all the addresses are displayed, that begin with these two letters.

Enabling immediate searching in Mozilla Thunderbird

In Mozilla Thunderbird you can use the automatic address completion function if you have activated it.

On Tools menu, click Settings.

The Settings window opens.

• Click Compose.
• Select the Address tab and enable the LDAP directory server option.
• Select the LDAP address book in the drop-down list and confirm with OK.

If you now write a new e-mail, the e-mail address is automatically completed while you are entering it as long as it is already in the address book. Whenever there are multiple hits you can select the correct e-mail address from a drop-down list.
