Selecting data records

In CAS genesisWorld, you select data records via the context menu or using your mouse. You can execute actions and functions for multiple data records if they have been selected.

In most cases, you can find the functions for selected data records in the context menu, for example, Create document or E-mail to address(es) in address lists.

You can also use drag and drop functions for selected data records: for example, after you have performed a search, you can move the selected data records to another opened list.

Selecting via mouse

• You select one data record by clicking it.
• If you want to select multiple data records that are dispersed in the list, you click them while simultaneously holding down the CTRL key of your keyboard.
• You select multiple data records that are next to each other by clicking the first and second data record while holding down the Shift key.
• You can find the Toggle selections button in the Edit menu or in the context menu under Selections.
