Deactivating addresses
You can deactivate addresses. If, for example, a certain contact person leaves this company, the contact should not be deleted so the links from the contact's dossier are maintained.
In this address' data record window, click this icon or open the Tools menu and click Deactivate address.
- If you deactivate an address the address check is no longer executed.
- When you open a deactivated address, an icon below the tabs shows that this address has been deactivated. All fields in the deactivated address are grey, which means you cannot enter data.
- If you want to transfer the Address deactivated field to the Selected fields list, go to the view properties and include the view format.
- You can select the Address deactivated field as Table field when applying a filter to a view or a search.
- In the Search window, you can select the Consider deactivated addresses option.
- Deactivated addresses are displayed in lists with a line through them. This also applies to lists, which are part of another view such as dossiers.
- If you deactivate a company address, you are asked whether you also want to deactivate the contact persons.
- You can only deactivate a contact person if you have Write rights to this address. This means that you will only be able to deactivate those contact persons to whom you have sufficient rights. The contact persons that you were not allowed to deactivate are then displayed.
- In the Archive e-mail window, deactivated addresses are displayed. Make sure whether you want to link the archived e-mail with the deactivated adress.
