Reports

Reports can be used for company accounting and reporting purposes; they support teamwork and planning, and provide a summary of key information.

Reports are viewed using the Crystal Reports Viewer. This tool is installed with CAS genesisWorld.

Crystal Reports Designer and the Report module allow authorized users to create, edit, import and export report templates.

The report functions are only available if you have been granted the necessary rights from your administrator.

Reports as PDF files are based on a document template for a Microsoft Word or PDF file. In the document template, only TrueType fonts and TrueType collections can be used. OpenType fonts and OpenType collections are not supported by the Crystal Reports Viewer.

Reports have their own data record type and can therefore be linked with other data records. This means you can create list views and dossiers for this data record type.

• Reports are created from a number of data records of a particular data record type. Depending on the type of report, linked data records can also be included.
• A report is based on a report template that defines the appearance and if applicable how data is analyzed. For example, report templates can include a list of addresses, bar charts showing the status of tasks, and so on.
• A document is created based on the data record type and the report template; this is also called a "report." This "document" (or report) can be saved as a CAS genesisWorld document with an archive file or exported as a PDF or JPEG file.
• The Company with contact person and dossier report does not contain receipts and can therefore be created without receipt rights.

For the Company with contact partners and dossier with receipts report you will need receipt rights.

• Users who only have guest access are not allowed to create reports from report templates.

The "Report" data record type is dynamic. A new report can be created either manually or automatically at any time based on the data, report template, user and interval settings.
