Rules: Settings

The Notification and Action Service allows you to define rules for automating routine processes in your company. A rule determines which events automatically trigger which actions.

In the Rules for notification and actions tab, users are sent an e-mail in the following cases:

• if certain data records have been newly created or changed,
• if a certain deadline has been exceeded
• if links have been changed
• If users or a group in which a user is member are participants of a data record
• if users have subscribed to a rule for notifications
• if users have been entered as subscribers by the administrator or
• if you administrator has created a mandatory notification.

In the Rules for notifications and actions, settings can be made for actions: If changes have been made to or deadlines were exceeded for certain data records, the program automatically creates new CAS genesisWorld data records or links data records to other data records, and so on.

• Rules for actions cannot be subscribed.

Please inform users about the workflow structure in your company and which rules might be of interest for them.
