DocumentPort wizard

The DocumentPort wizard supports you when you archive files in CAS genesisWorld.

This is how you open the DocumentPort wizard:

• Click Start on the Windows taskbar and select Programs > CAS genesisWorld > CAS genesisWorld > DocumentPort.
• You select files you want to archive with the File selection dialog of the wizard. If files are dragged and dropped onto the DocumentPort icon then a list of these files is displayed.

Add files: You can drag and drop files onto the file list or use the Add button.

Remove files: Select files to be removed from the file list and click the Remove button.

• With the File storage dialog you determine how the documents are to be saved in CAS genesisWorld:

As Archive document: A copy of the original document is saved to the CAS genesisWorld document archive. There is no link between original and archived documents, i.e. the two documents can be edited independently. You can use the version management for archived documents.

As Link to original file: Only a link to the original file is saved in CAS genesisWorld, not the document itself. The disadvantage: Rights and access from CAS genesisWorld are not considered.

• You can choose between two archiving methods with the Modus option dialog of the wizard.

Interactive: If you select this method you have to enter a subject for each individual document. The New document window opens every time.

Click Next to get to the Start import dialog where you can start automatic archiving by clicking Finish button.

Automatic You can automate the input of key words i.e. you can create a scheme of key words with the fields of the Subject of document section. This is then displayed in the preview field. The scheme of subjects can contain free texts, the file name, and/ or a counter at the beginning or end of the subject.

Click Next to get to the Start import dialog where you can start automatic archiving by clicking Finish button.
