Primary links, participants and e-mails
Archiving e-mails
If the administrator has made the corresponding settings, the participants of the parent project are automatically transferred when creating events, tasks, documents, appointments and phone calls. As a user, you can change or enhance the participant selection.
This does not apply if you archive e-mails.
If, when archiving, you enter enter a primary link for a project, for example, then you must manually assign the participants of the project in the e-mail. There are two reasons for this:
- When archiving e-mails, different archiving templates which already contain participant settings are used. These settings would be overwritten by the primary link defaults.
- The more critical point here would be data protection which has to be considered for e-mails, for example, the correspondence privacy.
Thus, users should decide which participant they want to enter.
- If, as a user, you know that you will be adding the same participants on a regular basis, then you can define the settings of your default archiving template accordingly.

- If you have an archived e-mail with primary links and you afterwards archive also the attachments as document data records, then the primary links of the e-mail are also entered in the document data record.
Attachments and e-mail merges
If you add a new document as attachment to an e-mail merge, the primary links of the e-mail merge are adopted to the document.
