E-mail/Display tab
Define the settings for the displayed fields and font in e-mails.
- The Display "From" field... option, the Display "BBC" field... option, and so on are settings for the e-mail window.
You can change those settings for each new e-mail.
The settings on the Display tab and in the e-mail window overwrite each other, the last setting always applies.
- You can define the font, font size, as well as bold or italics formatting for the e-mail window and the e-mail preview.
- You can only define a color and the script for the display in e-mail lists.
E-mails in text format with Unicode / UTF-8 coding are only displayed correctly if a Unicode character set is installed on the PC. When installing Windows, not all available fonts are installed by default to save disk space.
- If the Dynamic display option is activated, the date is displayed shortened in the Received on column of the e-mail inbox if possible. For example, only the time is displayed for e-mails received on the current day. E-mails received in the current year are displayed without the year, and so on. If the option is deactivated, the entire date and time is always displayed.
- If required, you can activate the Mark e-mail in preview as read option.
- If the Do not automatically download images in HTML messages option is activated, e-mails that contain images are loaded faster.
You can then load the images later via a button.
- If the Show hints for e-mails option is activated, a hint is displayed if you point at an unselected row in the e-mail list with your mouse. The hint contains the sender, the date on which the e-mail was received, the subject, and an image of the sender.
