E-mail/Send tab
On the Send tab of the E-Mail settings, you define the settings for sending e-mails.
Send
- Choose between the HTML or Text only formats in the Default format for message text drop-down list.
You can still define the e-mail format individually for each e-mail despite the defined default format.
- If you activate the Save a copy in the "Sent items" folder option, copies of sent e-mails are created and you can archive the respective e-mails retroactively.
- If you activate the Notify when sending succeeded option, you will receive a notification as soon as the e-mail has been sent successfully.
We recommend using this option for e-mails with many recipients or large attachments.
- If you activate the Automatic saving as draft option for IMAP accounts, e-mails that have not yet been sent are automatically saved as drafts in the folder of the same name every 90 seconds.
Drafts are saved in the background so that you can immediately carry on working. If you save an e-mail template, the template is also saved in the background.
- Activate one or multiple of the when replying or forwarding options if you want to Close the original e-mail, Add the original e-mail as attachment, or Apply the original e-mail format when replying to or forwarding an e-mail.
When replying to an e-mail
- Activate the Include original message option of you want to attach the original message when replying to an e-mail.

- If you activate the Add attachments option, the attachments of the e-mail you are replying to are adopted as attachments in the reply e-mail.
This option is deactivated by default.
