You have several options for sending e-mail campaigns.
The application server sends an e-mail containing information about the success of the e-mail campaign to the sender's e-mail address.
The link type shows whether an e-mail has been sent successfully to the corresponding address.
You can view all links on the Dossier tab of the e-mail campaign.
The address is linked with the e-mail message sent link type if the personalized e-mail has successfully been transferred to the e-mail server for sending.
This does not necessarily mean that the e-mail was received by the recipient.
For example, if a recipient's address does not exist, then this is determined by the e-mail server that sent the e-mails. This is why you only get error messages after sending in the form of an e-mail protocol.
The application server starts sending the e-mail message in the background.
The Status tab of the data record window automatically opens. A status bar informs you about the status of this process. You will also see how many e-mails have successfully been sent and how many have not been sent.
You can close the data record window of the e-mail merge, it will not influence the sending process. To check the sending progress, you can open the data record window any time and go to the Status tab.
The Application Server checks every 5 minutes whether an e-mail campaign is waiting to be sent out. You cannot change this setting.
We recommend sending e-mails when the Application Server load is low, for example, at night.
If the sending process was interrupted by stopping the Application Server, whether intentionally or unintentionally, it is automatically resumed when the Application Server starts again.
A window opens.
If the sending process has not started yet, you can deactivate the delayed sending at any time or change the time:
A window opens.
While sending an e-mail, you can open the data record window at any time and check the progress of sending on the Status tab.
The Status tab of the data record window opens automatically once you have started sending the e-mail campaign. A status bar informs you about the status of sending. You can see how many e-mails have been sent successfully and how many e-mails have not been sent.
After all e-mails have been sent, an e-mail is sent to the sender. The e-mail contains information on how many e-mails have been sent successfully and how many e-mails have not been sent.
While sending an e-mail campaign, any user can open the data record and check the progress of sending on the Status tab. This also applies if a user did not send the e-mail campaign themselves or if the sending of the e-mail campaign was started with delay.
Users need at least Edit rights to cancel the sending of an e-mail campaign. The user must also be logged on to the Application Server which sends the e-mails. Otherwise, you cannot cancel the sending process. Please contact your administrator for more information.
After creating an e-mail campaign, an unspecified link exists between the data record of the e-mail campaign and each recipient.
If an e-mail was sent to a recipient, the e-mail campaign recipient link type is entered instead of an unspecified link. You can thus see in the dossier to which recipients the e-mail has already been sent or not.
If you send all e-mails again, already existing e-mail campaign recipient links are reset to an unspecified link.
