You can automate permanent processes in your company by using rules in the notification and action service. A rule determines which events automatically trigger which actions. There are two types of rules:
Users can subscribe to notification rules.
Notifications can also be sent to linked addresses if e-mail has been permitted in the address data record as the type of contact.
Users cannot subscribe to these rules.
Your administrator sets up the notification and action service in the Management Console. So-called rule administrators create or change rules in the Desktop Client.
