Geomarketing and maps

You can display addresses or data records on a map using a unique address link. Data records with a unique link to an address are, for example, opportunities linked with an address.

We use OpenStreetMap for all our map services. The map is displayed and opened in a new window in such a way so that all the addresses are visible. You have zoom functionality at your disposal in the map view.

For each address, you can open the data record window or the Area map tab for route planning from within the map.

Addresses within the proximity view can be displayed and edited in a list view.

Important information

• The following functions are only available with the Geomarketing module:

You can display any data record type on the map if the respective data records are linked with an address.

You can display a heatmap.

You can define a Classification field for the display of circles or heatmaps in different colors depending on a specific field value in the displayed data records.

• Heatmaps can also be displayed if you deploy the Premium Edition without the Geomarketing module.
• You can only display georeferenced addresses in the map. If addresses are not displayed in the map, these addresses were not georeferenced. Please contact your administrator for more information.
• You cannot georeference addresses if the postal address data is incorrect, for example, if the wrong postal code has been entered.
• We can offer the georeferencing service free of charge because we use an OpenStreetMap server. For some regions, you will receive less accurate coordinates, addresses may be displayed incorrectly on the map or single addresses cannot be georeferenced.
