The fields for the last contact show, when and from whom which phone call, which e-mail, which document or which appointment was linked with the opened data record.
If the field is automatically filled in, a specific field containing a date is checked for the linked appointment, document, phone call or linked e-mail. This field is transferred. The administrator defines this specific field.

The 3 fields can automatically be filled in if you work with primary links and the Premium Edition. You can overwrite the automatically transferred fields.
The basic settings for primary links and defaults for these fields are defined by the administrator. The administrator defines whether phone calls, e-mails, documents, appointments, or only selected record types can be taken into account for the last contact fields. Furthermore, only specific data records of those data record types can be taken into account, for example, only data records with a specific value in the Type field. This setting is defined by the administrator via a filter.
If you do not work with primary links and/or the respective settings were not made in the Management Console, you can edit the fields manually.
Create a new appointment as a user. Now, enter a primary link to a/an address record.
The appointment has the ABC category.
For appointments with the ABC category, the administrator has defined that the fields of the last contact are automatically filled in for addresses records.
The next time you open addresses, the updated fields for the last contact are included via the linked appointment.
If you have linked the appointment with a contact person, the last contact fields for the company are also refreshed and completed.
The autocomplete function for projects follows the same pattern if you enter a primary link between an appointment with the ABC category and a project. The administrator must have defined the corresponding settings for projects.
Primary links are always connected to addresses as their original reference.
When opening addresses the next time, they contain the updated fields for the last contact if a phone call, an e-mail, a document or an appointment was linked with the respective primary link.
