Default address

addresses can include one or several address data, for example, company address, delivery address, home address. One of these addresses is the default address.

The default address is often used for automatic functions, for example, if you write a letter or e-mail campaign, or if addresses are georeferenced. For other functions, one of the other addresses can be selected, for example, the label print function.

In the Management Console, your administrator defines which postal address is displayed when creating an individual contact. This default value can be changed by users in the address data record.

You can define the default address in the Desktop Client by displaying an address in the open data record window. In the other clients, the default address is defined via an option. The most recent settings always apply, this means that the administrator's settings overwrite the user's settings, and vice versa.
