Rules area

In the Rules for notification and actions tab, you can define the actions that are to be carried out, for example, when a data record has been changed or a deadline missed.

Users can subscribe notification rules if the respective option is ticked when creating a rule.

As an administrator, you can administer rules in the Rules area of the Management Console.

You can create and change rules in the Desktop Client and in the Management Console.

In the Management Console, your administrator sets whether a user is allowed to create or edit rules. To do so, your administrator selects a user, clicks Properties, opens the General tab and the selects the Rule administrator option.

Rule administrators create and change rules via the Desktop Client on the Rules tab in the Settings window.

You will notice that mostly the same functions and windows are available in both the Desktop Client and the Management Console. The same applies to the help pages.

Once you have updated CAS genesisWorld, you finish the notification and action service and you can restart the service. Depending on the changes made for a new version it is advisable to also check the rules.
