Cleaning options tab

On the Cleaning options tab, you can define how you would like found duplicates to be processed and what kind of restrictions you would like to use for merging duplicates.

If the option is activated, then the user has to have been granted at least Edit rights to the affected addresses or fields when merging duplicates. User who do not have sufficient rights, will not be able to merge the duplicates and will be sent a hint text.

If the option is not active, then users who do not have rights to specific fields will also be able to merge duplicates. However, in doing so, it might be the case that address field content is lost.

Restrictions when merging duplicates

In the lower part of the Merging options tab, you can define prevent an address data record from being deleted or deactivated when duplicate merging is running if you retain a value in one of the selected fields.

If an address data record has retained a value in one of the fields, then the respective data record is retained during duplicate merging. The data record for the other address is then discarded after duplicate merging.

If both addresses in a duplicate pair retain a field value, then the duplicate will not be merged.
