Display tabs

In the Display tabs area, all tabs for all data record types that are available in CAS genesisWorld are displayed. In the list, you can even see tabs that are not displayed in clients, for example, because of missing licenses.

In the Management Console, open the Miscellaneous area.

• Open the Display tabs area.
• Select the desired Data record type from the corresponding drop-down list.
• Activate the tabs you want to be displayed in the selected data record type.
• Deactivate the tabs you do not want to be displayed in the selected data record type.

Important information

• If you have defined input help options for the Type field, you can also use the Type field to control which tabs are displayed in data record windows.

• Input help for the Type and Status fields

• If mandatory fields are located on hidden tabs, the corresponding mandatory fields are not checked before saving. Therefore, users can save the data records even if the hidden tab contains a mandatory field.

Please also note the special characteristics when checking mandatory fields.

• Checking mandatory fields

• The Import of input help options, for example, from a test system, is equivalent to creating completely new input help options. After importing input help options for the Type field, the display of tabs must therefore be defined again.

Input help options have a GGUID that cannot be adopted when importing. Thereby, inconsistent data through duplicate GGUIDs is prevented. Imported input help options are therefore considered new input help options and remain visible.
