User sensitivity

Plan which data record types you want to set public and which user sensitive. We recommend you define this setting directly after installation as problems may occur when switching while the system is running.

Changing user sensitivity

Click Change data record type and then enable or disable the This data record type is user sensitive option in the following window.

If you activate this option, participants for data records of this type can be selected. A user can assign access rights for other users to this data record when creating a new data record.

If this option is not activated, these data records are public. This means, that all users and groups have full access to these data records, except if the access for specific users or resources has been restricted by the administrator.

When you enable user sensitivity, various hints will be displayed.

For data records with participants, authorized users have to remove the participants so that these data records can also be made public.

If new data records are created after switching, then cannot enter more participants.

When switching, the database is changed, thus, you should select Apply to remove any blocks if necessary.
