Country (Default)

The default values for Country (default) can be defined at various points in CAS genesisWorld.

• In the Miscellaneous area of the Management Console you can define the defaults for all the users and clients.

• Miscellaneous/Addresses/General tab area

• In the Settings window, on the Address check tab, you can define the same settings for individual users.

• User/Address check

The general default in the Miscellaneous area will then be overwritten for the respective user.

For example, Germany can be set as the default for all users, and France can be set in User Management for the users of the branch in Lyon

You can also set whether users can change these settings on this tab.

• In the Settings window of the Desktop Client, you can allow users to change fields like Country (default) on the Address check tab, if this has been allowed in the Settings window of the Managment Console.

The settings for the automatic address check in the Settings window of the Management Console and in the Desktop Client for a user, overwrite each other, the last settings made always apply. If none of these settings area available, then the default value applies in the Miscellaneous area of the Management Console.

• Due to differences in the country formats, some address information is saved to different fields. Thus, differences in address list views can occur.
• The entry fields for the postal address in the data record window for an address in the Desktop Client are sorted by the Country field. In that way, the postal address for this country is displayed.
