Unternehmensverzeichnis business directory tab

The Unternehmensverzeichnis.org directory is a free business directory of companies and production facilities. Using a service integration with Unternehmensverzeichnis.org, contact information can be updated and enriched which improves data quality. The integration requires to register with Unternehmensverzeichnis.org, which is done by the administrator.

Companies and production facilities listed in Unternehmensverzeichnis.org are allocated a unique identification number, the so-called EBID number or European Business Identifier. Through this integration

• you can search individual contacts in the Unternehmensverzeichnis.org for which values in the Company field exist and also company addresses,
• you can enter the EBID number in CAS genesisWorld in an individual contact and in the company, and
• you can update or complete company data in CAS genesisWorld with information from the Unternehmensverzeichnis.org.

The EBID number, the EBID status and the symbol of the Unternehmensverzeichnis.org directory are no longer displayed in the Desktop Client and in CAS genesisWorld Web for addresses.

If you find more than one company with the Unternehmensverzeichnis.org, only the EBID status is entered. Users can then manually assign the correct match in the Desktop Client.

Please note that the Unternehmensverzeichnis.org directory is available only in German at the moment and enables data synchronization for German-speaking companies. For more detailed information see Unternehmensverzeichnis.org.

Setting up the Unternehmensverzeichnis.org directory

• Open the Unternehmensverzeichnis tab
• Enter the Name of the application server on which the service is supposed to run.
• The Default account is integrated in CAS genesisWorld and can be used by all customers. With this account, you can use all free functions of the Unternehmensverzeichnis.org integration.
• Activate Use own account if you want to use the functions that are subject to charge.
• If you want to use your own account, you need to enter the user name and the password you were given when registering with the Unternehmensverzeichnis.org directory.
• Click Start service.

The service sends the addresses to Unternehmensverzeichnis.org and transfers an EBID number if a matching company was found.

• With Display details, you can review whether the assignment is complete.
• With Check all addresses again, you start another new allocation.

Each update completed by the service is logged in the Change log tab of the desktop client with the Unternehmensverzeichnis user.

Activate user for Premium information

• With the Activate user for Premium information function, the e-mail addresses of the corresponding user accounts are transferred to Unternehmensverzeichnis.org business directory and assigned to the matching account.

The information is bought via the data record of an individual data record and/or a company with a unique EBID number. After it has been purchased, the information is transferred to CAS genesisWorld as archive document. The company and/or individual contact are linked with the corresponding data record after the information has been purchased.

The access rights you select in the Select participants window are entered for a created document data record. Users can change the automatically entered rights.

If you want to access Premium information on Unternehmensverzeichnis.org, you need to define further settings under My Unternehmensverzeichnis. Log on to Unternehmensverzeichnis.org with the credentials entered in the Management Console.

Activating the Business profile

• As usual, you enter the license for the Business profile and activate the user accounts in the Management Console.
