Learning or looking up?

In principle, you will find all the CAS genesisWorld functions described in the online help. The files could of course contain errors. We would be grateful if you would inform us of any missing functions or errors in the help files.

To open the online help you will need internet access. Your default browser is used to open the help files using the settings on the computer you are using.

The structure of the online help files, the context sensitivity, the breadcrumb navigation, the search and contents, are all designed to support you when searching and when learning functions or procedures.

Where and how can you get information?

If you press the F1 button in CAS genesisWorld, the online help opens, usually at the page that matches the window, tab or view in which you currently find yourself.

Breadcrumb navigation refers to the text line including hyperlinks, situated above a help page.

It could be that you open a help page after a search. With the help of the breadcrumb navigation you will see whether one or two parent pages are available. You open a parent page containing general information by clicking the hyperlink.

The search field in the online help is located and displayed in the top right-hand corner.

The contents pages are especially useful if you are looking to thoroughly inform yourself about a specific area, or you would just like to learn something new.

Entries with an invisible arrow contain sub-entries. To expand the sub-entries, click the small arrow itself.

After that a black arrow is displayed

When you click the text, the respective page opens. And when you double-click the text, the page opens and you will also see the sub-entries.

But there are lots of unknown words ...

Lots of words in CAS genesisWorld and in the online help will not be understood when you first see them.

Print page

To print the page that is being displayed, click the print icon in the top right-hand corner of the help window.

A new window will open displaying the page you wish to print. The navigator is not printed.

You can view or hide all of the text on a page by using Expand all, or Collapse all.
