Social networks

Wherever user-defined information is displayed in CAS genesisWorld, you will see buttons for social networks displayed, and buttons for search engines. User-defined information includes: addresses, phone calls and e-mail in the mailbox, in the preview and in archived e-mail.

Important

If you have been granted sufficient rights from your administrator, you will see the social network buttons.

To display page from a social network, your personal logon data from the respective website will be required. If you wish, you can save your user name and password for any social network site in your CAS genesisWorld settings. Your data is encrypted and subsequently saved to the database, third-parties will not be able to access your data.

If you have not saved your logon data, a form will open inviting you to logon to the social network.

Different CAS genesisWorld users see different information even though they are viewing the same pages from the same social network. This is because the pages from the social network site are opened directly, which means you will only see the data at the moment of opening and if, for example, the owner of the page posts something 5 minutes later this is not updated live.

Available functions

By clicking an icon, you select a network or a search engine and the term or name in question is automatically inserted and the search automatically started. In the Web profile window you will find a number of additional search functions on the toolbars. The page from the social network Web site is displayed exactly as it would be when if you were to logon from a regular browser.

Using the previous/next buttons you can navigate back and forth between the pages of a Web site.

Using Link profile you can assign either the current profile or search results to a search. After using the Link profile function, clicking a respective icon in either an address, phone call or email data record, enables you to view the Internet page that you have linked in the Web profile window.

Remove link this function removes the link you made to a social network profile or search result.

Refresh this function refreshes the Internet page that is currently displayed.

Open in browser this function opens currently displayed Internet page in your browser.

Search again using this function you can commence a new search using the search terms in the input window. And if for example, you are not too sure of the spelling of a name or company address, then you can use wildcards in your search terms and then subsequently correct the address.
