Actions and the action window

Actions are always executed for one or more selected data records. Click Action in the Tools menu.

Please note

You can only execute, create, save new actions or set them as favorites and access specific functions if you have been assigned the necessary rights from the administrator.

With these actions, you can change many data records at the same time. Undoing these changes can cost a lot of time and effort, if you have to open the Change log for each changed data record.

Functions

Using an action you can create linked data records from tasks, phone calls or opportunities for highlighted data records.

If you have sufficient rights to do so, you can create and execute new actions. You change data records' fields, enter certain participants or create additional newly linked data records. You can have values entered into fields automatically for newly created data records.

You can only create actions for yourself or as public actions for all users who have action rights.

Actions can mark actions as private and general favorites. Favorites are displayed as entries in the Action drop-down list.
