The Tree view of a navigator and the Tree tab of a data record window include functions to edit and link the data records, and you can change the display. These functions are called with the corresponding icons or via the context menu.
This is only possible if no other primary links are available for a data record.
If the Create version automatically when saving option is enabled in the document data record, then the file you drag over using drag and drop is then saved as a new version on the Version tab. After doing so a window will open in which you can enter a comment.
And if the Create version automatically when saving option is not enabled, then a hint text will open, asking you whether a new version should be created. A version is then created from the previous archive file. And the file you dragged across using drag and drop is saved as the new archive file.
Simultaneously, the associated data record is opened so that you can save the data record once you are finished editing.
If you have marked the data record, the subjects of data records which are linked to the selected data record with unspecified links are displayed in brown colour.
To hide general links, click the Refresh button.
The following functions are only available if you click a data record with primary links. Other functions are available for data records with unspecified links.
If a document, an e-mail, a phone call, an appointment or a task is marked, the new data record adopts the primary links of the marked data record.
With the toolbar buttons, you can change the display of data record types, the sort order, and so on.
... The icons on the left-hand side in the tree view, display or hide the respective data record types.

Company as root is only available if the corresponding address with the primary link is not an individual contact.
Display contact person is available if the corresponding address with a primary link is a company data record. With this function, you can also display all contact persons of a company that are linked to the address with primary links.
Contact person as root is available if the respective address with a primary link is a contact person or an individual contact.
Project as root is available if the current data record type is not an address. The parent address of the project, all other projects with the same primary address and, for a company address, all contact persons with corresponding projects are hidden.
This button opens a window in the Tree tab, in which you can change the settings of the view. In the Tree view open the settings over the shortcut menu.
Refresh refreshes the view.
Search in tree searches the texts which are displayed for each linked data record. You can use the % character/sign as a placeholder.
If several fields are displayed, for example, Subject, Participants, Type, Status, and so on, then the program searches in all these fields.
For example, a job is displayed with the Subject, Type, Status customization services, programming, completed. Then you can find this job by entering the search term %programming%completed.
