Using the settings for the program window, you define, for example, how the navigator is to be displayed, or even how you want to open views in the navigator.
The settings in this tab are your personal settings which only apply to you. If you log on to a different computer with your password, these settings will also be applied.
On Tools menu, click Settings.
Your administrator defines defaults for navigators in the Management Console.
You can only change the adminstrator's settings if you possess the corresponding rights.
Start navigator is the program navigator that is loaded when the program is started.
If you switch from the start navigator to another navigator and you want to save this navigator or exit CAS genesisWorld, a notification is displayed. Now you can define the current program navigator as start navigator.
Additional navigator this is a public and write-protected navigator. You can ensure that your most important views with respect to your work are displayed in the additional navigator.
This navigator can be a preset from your administrator and is then displayed in addition to your current navigator. Two navigators are displayed on the left side of the program window.
If have been granted the necessary rights you will be able to display this navigator.
If you are allowed to create your own navigator, then you can move views from the additional navigator to the upper navigator using drag & drop.
If you have been granted the necessary rights for public navigators and you wish to change the additional navigator, you have to load the additional navigator as the first navigator.
Display dashboard when program is launched starts CAS genesisWorld with the dashboard as start view. You or the administrator can define this setting.
This list shows a link navigator for each data record type.
To edit a link navigator, open the Dossier view or the Dossier tab in the data record of the respective data record type.
You can define special link navigators for each data record type or one link navigator for all or several data record types. This setting for navigators can be made at different locations:
The settings overwrite each other, the most recent settings apply.
For a Dossier view in the program navigator, the specification for the link navigator is used for the respective data record type. This does not apply if you select a specific link navigator in the view properties. All available link navigators are displayed in the view properties.
Click Change to open the Select navigator window. In this window, all link navigators you can access are displayed.
Default creates a public link navigator as default if you click on the button.
If available, the last saved public link navigator is set as Default.
If no public link navigator exists, the Autostart (public) link navigator is set.
If you do not have the necessary rights to public navigators, the available link navigators were created by colleagues.

Menu bar: Deactivate the Display option to hide the menu bar. If you move the mouse in the menu bar area or click on the arrow next to the help button, the menu bar is inserted.
Tabs: If the Open tab in background option has been selected, then the active tab remains in front even when you open other tabs. If you deactivate this option, then the new tab you are opening is always activated.
If you have the Only open tab once option enabled then you can switch automatically to the tab which is already open when opening the same tab again, this saves you opening the same tab twice.
Open view in a folder: Here you can select whether you want to open a folder by clicking or double-clicking it.
Default currency is used as a default if you create a new data record with a currency as in, for example, an opportunity.
The Default currency function is available if the administrator has enabled different prices for products in the Management Console.
Product description (default) is used as a default if alternative descriptions are possible for products. Such descriptions are displayed in the data record windows for products on the Alternative descriptions tab.
This function is available if the administrator has enabled alternative product descriptions in the Management Console.
Dictionary: Select the language of the dictionary that you want to use for the spell checking of notes and e-mails. The language you used to log on to CAS genesisWorld is set as the default. A different dictionary is only available if you restart CAS genesisWorld in a different language.
Dossier tab in data record windows: you define how you want to display the Dossier tab, or the Preview through the Position button in the window of the same name.
The Display notes in the data record option is deactivated by default.
If the Quick info is especially long, the cursor might be hidden and you cannot place it in the field.
If you need the information, activate the check box. If the field is hidden, you need to move the cursor to another location or use the arrow keys to switch from field to field.
