An e-mail campaign is a document in CAS genesisWorld. Therefore, you create a new document when you want to create an e-mail campaign.
If you have already saved recipient lists as views or if you want to use a distribution list, you can link the recipients directly when creating the e-mail campaign.
Click New and select Document.
The Create document from window opens.
You can change the names of the views. You may find the templates in a different view.
The New e-mail campaign window opens.
The General tab contains the required information to create and send e-mail campaigns.
The Advanced tab contains default information for a CAS genesisWorld data record, for example, category or date.
The drop-down list shows all the e-mail accounts you have access to.
After you have selected the e-mail account, the sender field is automatically filled in. You can change the sender by entering a new value if required.
The sender is displayed as sender <e-mail account> to the recipient of the e-mail, for example, newsletter <newsletter@example.com>.
The document language is relevant for placeholders such as mail merge fields. The contents are filled in using the selected document language if contents are available in the selected language.
The corresponding window opens.
In addition, each sent e-mail is linked automatically with the e-mail campaign.
In the next step, you write the text of the message.
