Using a map view you can summarize certain data record values graphically, for instance, as clusters and also display them in a list if you wish.
Note, you can only use geographic data such as address data record types for this functionality. The only way to include other data record types is if they are linked to addresses.
After creating a Map view, you can change the same properties as you would in the View Wizard via the Properties window.
When using a Filter, the defined filter conditions are displayed.
Select whether you want the data records of specific participants to be displayed.
Only addresses can be analyzed in a map. Using the link type you can define which of the addresses linked to the data record you wish to include.
A primary link is a possible link type. Other options include, the sellers or manufacturers of products in opportunities.
Circles show the number of addresses. The size of the circles depends on the level of zoom you are using. If you hover your cursor over a circle, the addresses will opened in a list view. If the circle only contains one address, you will see more information on the address and you will be able to open the data record.
Heatmap is a special type of visualization used to represent frequency values for specific locations, for instance, the number of addresses.
Using the Calculation field you can define which values are summarized in the circle segment or in the heatmap. For this you select a field with numbers.
Depending on the values you have summarized, you can display circular areas in the map in different colors. For example, in opportunities the Probability shows different potential in different areas as a Classifications field.
You can select fields with input help which do not have input options or fields with numbers as the Classification field.
The classification for fields for input help options with checkboxes is based on the contains filter condition.
Using the (Other values) entry you can, for example, choose to only use color highlighting for a specific value and leave all other values to be displayed in the same color.
If an empty value is selected for the Class 1, 2 and so on field, then the field is not highlighted in color.
