With the phone call data record type, logging and recording incoming and outgoing calls is comparable: the telephony integration offers automatic features for this. Without the telephony integration, you record phone calls manually.
The Start, Deadline and Phone call status fields are automatically entered in parts. You can change the values that are entered automatically.
If the phone connection is active, CAS genesisWorld supports incoming and outgoing calls depending on your settings in the Telephony tab.
Either the caller's address opens, or a new data record is created.
The address is entered in the Address quick info field, and the new phone call is linked with the address if a suitable address is found in CAS genesisWorld.
To change these values, deactivate the option Update data automatically.
Even without the telephony integration, you still log calls with the telephony data record.
If you have not entered a value in the Start field, the value of the deadline field is automatically adopted.
If you have entered a value in the Start field, this value is not changed.
If you link an address with a phone call, a query is displayed, asking you whether you want to transfer the linked address additionally to the Address quick info field. If you answer with Yes, the linked address will be transferred to the Address quick info field and might replace an address already existing in this field.
The Address quick info field always contains only one address. If you link another address to the phone call and you do not want to change the Address quick info field, answer with No.
