Drag and drop

You can execute various commands using a drag and drop operation.

You will only be able to carry out drag and drop operations if your administrator has assigned you the necessary rights.

What is the drag and drop operation?

The drag and drop function always works the same way:

Drag and drop in the calendar

In calendar views you can move activities by dragging an activity to the desired position. In the process, the program checks for any overlaps.

The time period for the activity is automatically changed in the data record.

Using drag & drop in lists and multilist

The following functions are executed the easiest if you open a second list with the same data record type in a separate window.

A shortcut menu will then appear listing several commands.

In doing so, the selected data records are then added to the second list's static filter.

Data records which have been moved using drag & drop will only be displayed in the list if the settings on the Team tab allow it.

Alternatively, you can drag a data record to the white area at the end of the list.

The Link and Add to list commands are also available when you carry out drag and drop operations in a multilist. The view is also extended by the static filter.

Drag and drop in the data record window

Using the Link with drag and drop icon in the toolbar of the data record window starts a drag and drop action.

The two data records are then linked.

Files and documents: dragging and dropping folders

The Create new document window will open and the file you selected will already be available as an archived file.

The Create new document window will open and the file you selected will already be available as an archived file.

The Create new document window will open and the file you selected will already be available as an archived file. Furthermore, the new document data record is then linked to the data record whose data record window you dragged the file to.

Please note

If you drag and drop a file into an internet view, no document data record is created. In this case, the mechanisms for the displayed internet view are used.

In the case of user sensitive data records, you will be asked if you wish to adopt the participants of the respective data record for the new document data record. If you agree, then the external access rights are also adopted.

The query dialogue does not open if you are the only data record participant for the respective data record.

If you drag multiple files to the data record and drop them there, the dialogue will open again. The same procedures is then used to enter participants and external access rights depending on how you respond to the query dialogue.
