Campaign wizard

This wizard helps you select addresses and create e-mail campaigns, form letters, or phone calls for a particular target group. You can also create follow-ups after the campaign has finished.

This is how you start the Campaign wizard.

alternatively, click the icon of the same name.

Step 1: Selecting addresses

Select the addresses for mailing.

At the same time, views with address filters are displayed. Lists without filters are not displayed. Saved search views are also not displayed.

Step 2: Assigning actions to addresses

On this page you can select how the addresses are to be contacted.

On the E-mail (), Mail/Fax (), Phone () tabs, you will be able to see how many and which type of addresses have been automatically assigned a method of contact. The system checks the Preferred contact method field in the address data records.

The E-mail () shows all available e-mail addresses for each address. Here you can select the e-mail address the e-mail merge is to be sent to. You can only select one e-mail address per address.

The Phone () tab shows all available phone numbers for each address. Selecting the corresponding option defines the phone number which is to be used for this address. Here too, you will only be able to select one phone number.

You will find the Use the following e-mail / telephone field for all recipients drop-down list on both tabs. If you select one field, this field is set for all recipients of the list.

If the Preferred contact method field is empty, then these addresses are displayed on the Miscellaneous () tab. The same functions are available for each tab.

Step 3: Carrying out a quick campaign

This page displays how many e-mail campaigns, form letters, and phone calls are generated. Furthermore, follow-up actions for the selected addresses can be created after mailing.

When you create a document the addresses you selected are linked automatically.

Once you have created and sent the document or e-mail campaign -- including any attachments -- and saved the document data record, you will return to the Campaign Wizard. Now you can define follow-up actions.
