In CAS genesisWorld, you can use any e-mail client that supports MAPI (Messaging Application Programming Interface) for sending e-mails. You define which e-mail client is used on the General tab of the e-mail settings.
If you send e-mails via Microsoft Outlook, the Microsoft Outlook signature is used.
The CAS genesisWorld signature is used if the e-mail client uses SimpleMAPI and is automatically added if you have activated the Use signature option.
The default signature set on the Signature tab is used for all outgoing e-mails.
On the Signature tab in the Properties of an e-mail account, you can also define a signature specifically for the account. This signature is used if an e-mail is sent with this e-mail account.
The default signature is always used if you have not defined a special signature for the e-mail account.
If you have defined a default signature and specified an individual signature in an account's settings, you can, for example, send e-mails to external recipients containing the official signature of your company. If you send e-mails within your company, you use another e-mail account with an internal signature.
If the Use signature option is deactivated, the signature preview uses a light gray font.
If the Use signature option is activated and the Default signature has not been defined as No default signature, the signature preview uses a darker font.
