Introduction to letters and e-mail campaigns

In CAS genesisWorld, you can write letters or e-mail campaigns. For letters, you usually use Microsoft Word. You create and send e-mail campaigns directly in CAS genesisWorld.

On this page, you get an overview of basic functions and possibilities for letters and e-mail campaigns.

Creating cover letters

Writing a letter:

• you usually write to one or several addresses,
• create a text,
• insert address fields in the text, for example, the address, the form of address, the name, and so on,
• insert additional information from CAS genesisWorld, for example your name, your extension, your department, and so on.

Finally, you create the cover letter

• and print a letter for one address, or
• print multiple letters for multiple addresses, or
• send the cover letter as an e-mail campaign to multiple recipients.

You will only be able to use the functions for sending form letters or e-mail campaigns to several addresses if your administrator has assigned you the necessary rights.

Special considerations for form letters

When creating a form letter, data is exported from CAS genesisWorld. This function is comparable to the data export from CAS genesisWorld.

Before exporting data from CAS genesisWorld a window - depending on the administrator's settings - opens in which you have to enter your password for CAS genesisWorld. This query has been implemented to ensure that your data in CAS genesisWorld is secure.

The entering of your password is also required if you have already opened CAS genesisWorld and you are logged in. The password you need to enter must be your CAS genesisWorld password, even if you otherwise log on with your CAS genesisWorld Windows user account.

You define the CAS genesisWorld password in the Settings window, in the General tab.
