Action drop-down list

The Action menu in the Windows client can be accessed via Tools menu or the Action drop-down list which is available in icon bars of views and data record windows as well as in the context menu.

The Create task, Schedule phone call and Create opportunity actions are available for all users. With these functions, you create new, linked data records for the previously marked data record(s).

Create task opens the data record window of a task.

If you create a task for addresses, a general link will be created.

Schedule phone call opens a phone call data record window.

If you create phone calls for addresses, the Phone call link type is entered. If this link type cannot be entered, a general link is entered.

Create opportunity opens the data record window of an opportunity.

If you create an opportunity for an address, the Customer link type is entered. If this link type cannot be entered, a general link is entered.

Other actions opens the Action window.

The Other actions item is only displayed if you have been assigned the necessary rights.

The fields are refreshed simultaneously for all marked data records, the individual data records do not have to be opened. When updating the values user rights are taken into consideration.

Using the Form & Database Designer functions you can also update all data records that use formulas, performance indicators and links using time-triggered updates.
