Calls and follow-up calls

You can make calls directly in CAS genesisWorld. Depending on the telephone system used, certain components must be installed or set up.

If the telephony integration is not active, this icon is displayed in grey for addresses or address views.

The following functions are only available with the telephony integration.

Calling

Alternatively, you can open the Call drop-down list and dial the number you require.

If your telephone system is connected with CAS genesisWorld, the selected number is dialed automatically.

A red arrow next to the icon, shows that the number is being dialed.

To hang-up, click the Call icon again.

Alternative options

In every address list, the Call drop-down list displays the telephone numbers for the highlighted address.

Spontaneous calls are possible if you know the number you want to call from memory.

Follow-up call

Clicking Follow-up call opens another phone call data record.

If a different value than Answered phone call is entered in the Phone call status field of the original phone call, the Completed call value is automatically entered in this field.

The original phone call data record is automatically closed.

The original and the new phone call data record are automatically linked.

This automatic function is only possible with the Follow-up call button. The automatic function is not executed if you open Plan phone call in the Action drop-down list.
