Toolbar for a portal

If you click/select a folder, component or page in the navigator, a description of it will appear in the display area along with the functions. The command buttons in the toolbar will also appear.

 New

New component opens the Select component window. Click on a component. Below you will see a description of this component. Click "OK." You will then be asked if you want to activate this new component.

New folder adds a new folder to the navigator.

New portal opens a window. Enter a name for the new portal in the field provided. You can also enter a description of the new portal in the Description field.

You can either create a new demo portal or import an existing portal. You can export a portal using the corresponding command in the portal. All the database settings are also exported and are saved in the exported file. When importing a portal, any tables or columns that are missing in your current database are then shown and can then be created.

In the Create new portal window, you can also select either Microsoft Internet Information Services or Apache as your Web server. You can select the Web server for each portal separately.

New component in the Start folder opens the Select element window.

Delete deletes ‒ after a security prompt ‒ the selected data record.

Duplicate: click this button to duplicate the navigator entry, which you must then rename.

Rename allows you to rename the selected navigator entry.

Activate/ Deactivate allows you to activate/deactivate the selected navigator entry. Activated entries are visible to users. You can deactivate new entries while they are being edited.

Translate opens the Edit translation window. In this window, you will see a line for each language you selected for this portal under Language support.

When you create components and pages, their names are available in all the supported languages. This way the Calendar page can be labeled as Kalender, Calendrier or Calendario for example. You can also enter or change the names in the different languages yourself when you create new components or pages.

If you have entered a custom name for one of the portal pages, then you can enter the translations of this name in supported languages. The respective names are then displayed when a user opens the portal in the supported language.

Show in browser opens the page in your default browser.
