CAS genesisWorld international

CAS Software AG has been gearing its products increasingly toward the European market.

The CAS genesisWorld log on window always contains a drop-down list from which you can select your desired language. All the languages for which language files have been installed are displayed in the drop-down list. Please contact your administrator for more information.

International implementations are supported through a variety of functions:

• settings in the Management Console can be adapted by the administrator,
• and users profit from different functions in the Desktop Client.

This includes for example:

• Address formats are available for the G20 states, defined as the most populous states, and for all European states.

If you have already selected a country format, the system will automatically ensure that the correct address format is used for your chosen country when you are writing a letter.

• If users are working with CAS genesisWorld in different languages, then the All (public) participant is always displayed in lists and when selecting participants in the chosen language of the user who is already logged on.

  Using the All (public) special user you can grant all users ownership rights to this data record. And for each data record you can set which rights should apply to the All (public) user.

  For example
  You create an appointment for a company outing. As a participant of the appointment you select All (public) and the Read right. Now all your colleagues will be able to view this appointment in their calendars, but they will not be able to change it.

• The date format from the Windows settings is also displayed for corresponding dossier fields.
• In addresses, the international (IBAN) account number and BIC (SWIFT) sort code are displayed.

• Edit company address/General tab

• Multilingual input help is available.

  Input help options are defaults for specific fields in data record windows, for example, for business sectors in the Sector field.

  The administrator defines input help options in the Management Console and can determine whether users can add any additional values to the already existing default values.

• Navigators can be opened, edited and saved in several languages. Default names are displayed in the respective language, custom names will be adopted in the language they have been entered.

  A Desktop Client navigator contains folders and views which are sorted in a tree structure.

  If your administrator has assigned you the necessary rights, you will be able to use various navigator functions in the Desktop Client:

  • You can load another navigator.
  • You can create, open, save, delete and rename navigators
  • You can also export or import navigators, allowing you to share your navigator(s) with other users.
• Documents in several languages are supported as mail merge fields can be replaced in the language of the document.
