Using an e-mail view (mailbox) you can work on- and offline if e-mails in an IMAP account have been saved to a local folder or a network folder.
For an e-mail view (mailbox) with Personal folders as an account there will not be a connection to the e-mail server. This means you are always working offline.
For an e-mail account with IMAP, the e-mails are usually saved automatically to local folders.
Working online or offline is possible in every subordinate view of an e-mail view (mailbox).
Online mode/Offline mode This is a button you can use to switch between the 2 modes.
When you create, save, send, delete or move e-mails to other folders, you go through the e-mail account with CAS genesisWorld to access the e-mail server and your mailbox folders.
In such cases, you can edit e-mail from the folders on the computer to which you are currently logged on.
Because of the connection between CAS genesisWorld and the e-mail server via IMAP as an e-mail protocol, a connection between online and offline e-mails will remain. Even while offline, you can create, save, send, delete and move e-mails to other folders.
E-mails deleted while in offline mode are displayed crossed out in the list and displayed in the Deleted objects folder.
As soon as you switch back to online mode and are connected to the e-mail server, your e-mails and the contents of your mailbox folder are synchronized with the contents of your views on the e-mail server. E-mails sent with CAS genesisWorld are transferred to the Outbox folder and deleted e-mails are removed from the respective view, new e-mails are copied to the e-mail server and so on.
