Setting filter conditions
A row consisting of Table field, Condition and Filter value is referred to as a filter criterion.
- The Table field drop-down list contains all available fields for the current or previously set data record type. Select the field by which you want to filter.
- The condition links the table field with the field value.
- For Filter value or Table field enter the value that you want to compare with the table field on the left using the condition.
- For Filter value you can enter any value you like and also enter wildcards.
- For Table field select another table field which is then to be compared with the table field on the left.
- On the border of each row you can always connect two filter conditions using either AND or OR.
Click this button to delete the filter condition.
- When you move the mouse pointer in front of the table field, a bracket appears. Click the bracket to insert it in front of the filter condition. You can insert a closing bracket in the same way next to the filter value at the end of the filter condition. By inserting brackets you can set more complex filters.
In order to insert a bracket on the left side of the filter condition, point with the mouse to a Table field of a row and move the mouse pointer slowly to the left until the bracket icon is displayed. Then click the displayed icon. In order to insert a bracket on the right side of the filter condition, move the mouse pointer to a Filter value in the corresponding row and move the mouse pointer slowly to the right until the bracket icon is displayed. Then click the displayed icon.
The entered brackets are checked in CAS genesisWorld and brackets that are not required are automatically removed.
- If you need more lines or filter conditions, click the More filter conditions button.
