Searching and filtering

CAS genesisWorld offers you several options to find one or more records. Basically, there are two options you can choose from: searching using search terms, or using filter settings.

Using search terms

Enter certain search terms which are then searched for in the respective fields of the data records.

How do I find search terms in multiple data record types or in document data record archive files?

Use filter

A filter consists of conditions which define a subset of all CAS genesisWorld data. You can create simple and complex conditions as well as forming a simple and complex interplay of conditions.

For advanced users: Background knowledge, tips and tricks

The search in CAS genesisWorld is based on a full-text index. This is defined by the administrator. You can, however, also search with or without full-text index.

Individual searches require more and more detailed entries and offer, depending on what you enter, often more detailed results.
