Toolbar functions

Address services offers a drop-down list containing entries for extensions that support working with addresses. With such extensions, you can check addresses or receive additional information.

 Telephone: you will see all the telephone numbers for this address displayed in the drop-down list for this icon. Click a phone number to make a phone call. The last entry of the drop-down list opens the Dial any phone number window.

To do this, the telephony connection has to be active and configured.

 Write an e-mail: select the contact person you want to send an e-mail to and click this icon. The e-mail window opens. The selected contact person is entered as recipient.

 Create document: clicking this icon lets you write a letter to the selected contact person.

Action offers a drop-down list which you can use to create: Tasks, Phone calls, Opportunities or other actions.

 Short note: clicking the button opens the Create new document window for a CAS genesisWorld short note. This new short note is automatically linked to the address.

 Link with:With this function you link the address with the data records which are already available.

The field becomes a search field if SmartSearch is active.

Without using SmartSearch select a data record type and then the Search window will open. After searching, you can link the data records by using the buttons in the Search window.

Without SmartSearch, you last 10 links will be displayed below in the drop-down list so that they are available quickly for any further links you wish to make.

New links lets you link the address with a newly created data record. By clicking the small black arrow, you can select the data record type and open a data record window of this data record type.

Reports: using this icon on the lists and data record window toolbars, you select the template from the drop-down list that you want to use to write a report.

Map opens a window which displays the data record address on a map. For this to work you should ensure that address data such as the postal code, town/city are available.
