In CAS genesisWorld, users have a number of options for exporting and importing data.
You cannot import participants to a data record. This applies to all data record types and all kinds of import. Even if you select and assign the Participants field when importing a CSV file, the participants will not be included in the respective data records.
Users require special rights if they want to import or export more than one data record to or from CAS genesisWorld. Only then will you have access to the respective functions.
These special rights do not apply to the CAS genesisWorld e-mail client if you want to send files from folders or directories outside of CAS genesisWorld.
Besides the direct export and import rights, rights are also available for data protection functions.
Before exporting data from CAS genesisWorld a window - depending on the administrator's settings - opens in which you have to enter your password for CAS genesisWorld. This query has been implemented to ensure that your data in CAS genesisWorld is secure.
The entering of your password is also required if you have already opened CAS genesisWorld and you are logged in. The password you need to enter must be your CAS genesisWorld password, even if you otherwise log on with your CAS genesisWorld Windows user account.
You define the CAS genesisWorld password in the Settings window, in the General tab.
In general, you can export a single data record from CAS genesisWorld without rights. This also applies to creating form letters, e-mail campaigns, for drag-and-drop and so on.

Individual rights for exporting data refer to multiple functions. After calling one of the following functions, you may have to enter your CAS genesisWorld password.
If users receive or create e-mails in CAS genesisWorld, these e-mails are not CAS genesisWorld data records. E-mails are saved on the e-mail server and users access the e-mail server when using the CAS genesisWorld e-mail client.
CAS genesisWorld rights can only be checked for CAS genesisWorld data records and functions and are only valid for these data records and functions. This has the following implications for e-mails and attachments.
Whereas without rights, you would only be able to attach a single CAS genesisWorld data record using the CAS genesisWorld e-mail client. This data record could be an address, an appointment or another CAS genesisWorld data record, regardless of the format whether vCard, iCal, GTF or with drag and drop, and so on.
Without rights, you can also attach any number of files from folders or directories.
With export rights, you can insert more than one CAS genesisWorld data record as an e-mail attachment.
CAS genesisWorld rights cannot be checked for external CAS genesisWorld data as well as data for, or on, the e-mail server.
